Is there a printed version of the new CRS format product available for purchase?

There is no printed version to purchase as the helpful additional time saving features of the e-library pdf cannot be used to advantage on a paper version. However, if you do also desire a paper copy you can print it and bind it yourself in your office or externally. You will need under a ream of paper if printed both sides A4.

What time-period of data is provided?

Dividend or Distribution data covers the 18 months prior to the end of the applicable financial year product so that there is a six-month lead in / overlap of information to assist professionals with cut off determinations. Class Rulings are presently included back to 2014 year – on a selected basis if deemed applicable for the selected security for CGT purposes.  Liquidator’s loss declarations are only those actually made in the financial year of product as they can only be claimed in the year the declaration is made pursuant to Section 104-45  of the Income Tax Assessment Act 1997

What are some of the innovative time-saving features of the new CRS format e-library product?

Each security has html links provided to the investor single record logins of the Share registry of the security, so if you have a HIN and postcode you can access your or your client’s share registry records – this way you don’t need to waste time finding which registry to access. ATO Class rulings that apply to the particular security are professionally summarised so you know what they are about plus there is an html link to the ATO official pdf ruling.

How do you best use the new CRS format e-library product in professional accounting work?

The e-library pdf product is divided into 6 sections and is a searchable product.  Click on the links on the index page to go to the section you are interested in. Use the standard “find” in your pdf software (e.g. Adobe Ctrl+ F) to locate the security information you are interested in. You can print the page your security information is found in your printed professional working papers files or if your office is all electronic print as a pdf page in your client’s folder. Use the embedded hyper-links to access, print or save other external source documents (e.g. class rulings or share registry data).
